PARISH OFFICE

The Parish Office is open on Tuesday morning and Thursday afternoon (excluding holidays). The Parish Secretary is Suzannah Goode. Please contact her for arranging Mass intentions, obtaining Mass cards, booking the Church Hall, the weekly newsletter and other general queries regarding the parish.

The weekly newsletter gives information on a wide variety of events and interests that affect parishioners. Entries for the newsletter must be received by the Parish Office by Thursday morning.

One of the parish’s valuable assets is the Hall, which has recently been refitted with a new kitchen. The Hall is used for a wide variety of functions including meetings of a specialised nature and charity sales, in addition to parish social events.

The Hall is used most weekdays and some weekday evenings, so early booking is advisable. Meetings can also take place in the St Francis Room, which does not normally form part of the hired-out facilities – this is held available for parish use.

LITURGY

Sunday                                                    10am

Weekdays and Holy Days of Obligation       9.30 am

The 10 am Mass at St Dunstan’s is a lively, family-centered celebration – the younger children are offered the opportunity to take part in their own special liturgy. The music is lead by the Music Group on the first and third Sundays of the month and the organ is played on the second and fourth Sundays.

Tea and coffee is served after Mass on the first Sunday of each month

Weekday Mass is usually celebrated at 9.30 am, but it is worth checking the newsletter to make sure! The Parish Sisters and Eucharistic Ministers will normally lead a Service of Word and Communion whenever the priest is away.

MUSIC

The Music Group plays twice a month at the 10 am Mass at St Dunstan’s. The group played together for the first time at Christmas 2002 and includes keyboard, violins, flutes, clarinettes and guitars and would welcome any new musicians who would like to join them.

CHILDREN'S LITURGY

During 10 am Mass on Sundays, the children are invited to go to celebrate their own Liturgy of the Word. This group is run by parents and friends of the parish of all ages. Every year, the children perform a wonderful Nativity Play at the 6 pm Mass on Christmas Eve.

CHILDREN'S PREPARATION FOR FIRST SACRAMENTS PREPARATION

Workshops are held jointly with St Teresa’s Church in Beaconsfield on Saturday afternoons during term-time for children in school years 3+ who wish to make their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion in the following summer

CONFIRMATION

Preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation is also held jointly with St Teresa’s in Beaconsfield every year. The age group is 12+ and spans quite a wide age range. For further information, please contact the Parish Office.

PROTECTION OF CHILDREN AND VULNERABLE ADULTS
